The work of local artist Tiera Floyd was recently chosen to be published in Creative Quarterly, an internationally-published art and design journal.
her senior thesis project around her hometown.
"Representing this community's story through the lives of five influential senior citizens, I painted portraits of their present selves," Floyd wrote on her website.
Floyd recently graduated Cum laude from West Virginia Wesleyan with a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design.
Her, "Legacy of the Lines" series will appear in Issue 28 of Creative Quarterly this fall and is currently on exhibition through the end of July at the Annex Gallery of Taylor Books in Charleston.
