With all this heat, hanging out at the pool sounds like a good idea.
At the University of Charleston pool, they weren't cooling off, they were heating it up. The 43rd annual City swim meet was held this weekend. This is the end of summer meet for 14 area teams.
More than 625 swimmers took part in the three day meet, and according to meet director Greg Olson, with that many swimmers in the field, you see all kinds of talent.
"The younger one to me are the most exciting to watch because they are young, just having learned to swim seeing if they can accomplish something for the first time, " said Olson, "When you get to the older swimmers we have some of the state high school champions here and then we have some college swimmers that have come back swimming in the older senior age group."
