The NCAA this morning levied unprecedented sanctions against Penn State in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal.
College football's governing body fined the university $60 million, imposed a four-year bowl ban and removed some scholarships and put the school on probation for five years, according to reports from The Associated Press.
The sanctions also include vacating all wins between 1998 and 2011, the AP reported.
NCAA says Penn State perpetuated "football first" culture that must change.
NCAA officials said the $60 million fine will go toward programs to prevent child sexual abuse and victim assistance, according to the AP.
