Police in South Charleston are looking for a new suspect in the Rite-Aid robbery from earlier this month.

Investigators now are looking for Jaleesha Mitchell, according to a news release from the department.

On Monday, police identified Kenisha Sanders and her brother Dominique Sanders as the suspects. Not long after that news release was issued, however, Kenisha Sanders contacted police stating that she was not the woman in the surveillance video.

Instead, Sanders said Mitchell was the one with her brother in the July 2 robbery at 333 MacCorkle Ave., South Charleston, according to the news release.

South Charleston detectives then received confirmation from Charleston Police that Mitchell is the one in the video, the news release states.

Kenisha Sanders turned herself in to police on an outstanding warrant, according to the news release.

Police still are looking for Dominique Sanders and Mitchell.

Those with information on their whereabouts are asked to call the South Charleston Police Department at 304-744-5951 ext. 110 or the anonymous tip line at 304-744-6521.
