No one should be upset because no one picked the correct numbers to win the large Powerball jackpot last night. It didn't stop people from walking up to the lottery outlets to buy a chance at a multi-million
A Logan County couple was arrested Monday and now are facing child neglect charges.
Everett Spears and Kimberly Mounts were arrested at the Clothier home, according to the West Virginia State Police. The seven children in the home were surrounded by drugs and needles, troopers said.
They were charged with seven felony counts of child neglect creating risk of injury, one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana, according to police.
Troopers were called to the home after an anonymous call was made to Child Protective Services, police said. When they arrived, the found seven children sleeping on the floor with drug needles nearby, no running water, and feces in the toilet.
"It was not a good condition," said Trooper J.E. Garren
Everett and Mounts were arraigned and taken to the Southwester Regional Jail on $25,000 bonds each. The children were taken by Child Protective Services.
