Roane County cats still waiting to be adopted

Roane County Animal Shelter had gotten a great initial response from people willing to adopt some of the more than 100 cats the shelter received last week.

We are happy to report that 21 of the cats have been adopted.

Many families have made monetary donations for food and medical fees.

Several rescue shelters and a horse sanctuary have communicated with the shelter on how to be able to take care of some of the cats.

The "Purr" Organization of West Virginia will be paying for their Leukemia testing, shots, and their fixing.
