Alanna Autler joined the 13 News team as a reporter in June 2012. She graduated Cum laude from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where she studied broadcast journalism and Spanish. Four days after commencement, she packed her bags and moved to West Virginia!

Alanna got her feet wet as a general assignment reporter in Lansing, Mich., where her work was recognized by the Hearst Foundation. She also interned at Fox News Channel in New York City for more than two years. During her junior year in college, she worked as a health care reporter in Washington, D.C.

She is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.

Alanna hails from New Jersey, but she's excited to make West Virginia her new home. Please do take the time to say hello if you see her around! She is a lover of ethnic food, running and the New York Yankees.
