Jesse Johnson is making another run for governor as the Mountain Party's candidate.

Media outlets report that the party chose Johnson during its nominating convention in Sutton on Sunday.

Johnson also was the party's nominee for governor in 2004 and 2008. He ran unsuccessfully in 2010 to fill the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the death of Sen. Robert C. Byrd.

Bob Henry Baber will be the party's candidate in this year's U.S. Senate race. Baber was the party's candidate in the last year's special gubernatorial election.

Mountain Party members elected former state Sen. Charlotte Pritt as the party's chairwoman.

Pritt unsuccessfully ran in the 1992 and 1996 governor's races as a Democrat.
