The Tri-State Amateur Radio Association (TARA) will host the 50th Annual Hamfest in Huntington from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 11, according to a news release from the organization.
The event will be at a new location for it's golden anniversary at the Christ Temple Church complex. Hamfest was previously held at the Veterans Memorial Field House until it was demolished this year. The new location will offer unlimited free parking and a new, modern facility for the event.
Hamfest will feature amateur radio operators and hobbyists who will take part in discussions all over the country. They will discuss the latest equipment and ideas. There will be radio and computer equipment for sale by individuals and dealers.
