A Huntington man is accused of trying to steal a dog.
It happened at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to police reports.
Kenneth Hatfield, 21, of Huntington, walked up to the dog and tried to put a leash on it, the report states. The dog got loose and ran under a car. The victim told police the dog was his.
Hatfield also used a box cutter to take the dog from the victim, according to the police report.
