Capital City Striders bringing home medals at Track & Field Jr. Olympics

Members of the Capital City Striders are collecting medals at the USA Track & Field Olympic Championships.

The championships are taking place this week at Hughes Stadium at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md.

So far this week, Carly Hinkle finished second in the 13-14 girls high jump, setting a new personal record jump of 5 feet, 5 inches, according to a news release from the Striders.

Christian Buckely finished eighth in the boys 15-16 discus throw, with a throw of 145 feet, 11 inches.

Austin Garrett finished seventh in the 13-14 boys pole vault. He cleared 10 feet, according to the news release.
