The northbound lane of I-77 near the Mahan area of Fayette County is shut down due to a tractor trailer accident. The accident is within a couple miles of the Kanawha County line.

High school band members were feeling the heat Thursday at Cabell Midland High School.
The entire band spent the morning practicing outside.
During the afternoon, a few drummers were back practicing outside in the heat.
They say that they prefer when it is not quite this warm.
Band members say it is not easy but you just have to cope with it.
"There is definitely a lot of pushing. Everybody is committed and it is a lot of hard work," said Chad Terry, band member.
Band members say on days with similar temperatures to Thursday, they take water breaks about every 20 minutes.
