OSHA issues safety campaign for WV outdoor workers

Posted:

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration is asking area employers in West Virginia to ensure their workers stay safe while working in hot conditions.

According to an OSHA news release, outdoor workers in the construction, agricultural, and other related industries are most likely to fall prey to deadly heat-related illnesses.

OSHA has launched a public awareness effort to educate workers and employers of heat dangers and safeguards, especially considering this week's high temperatures. Visit their website for more information.
