A South Webster, Ohio,
man was killed in a crash Thursday evening in Scioto
County.
Christopher E. Beesler, 61, was killed after losing control
of his car on state Route 140, according to a news release from the Ohio State
Highway Patrol. The road was wet and Beesler struck a tree after leaving the
roadway.
Beesler was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the
news release.
Two passengers in the vehicle were taken to the hospital,
the news release states. Kathy L. Beesler, 60, and Jason C. Beesler, 28, were
taken to Southern Ohio Medical Center. There was no word on their conditions.
July has been a deadly month on Scioto
County roads, Lt. Karla Taulbee
said in the news release.
"This is the fourth fatal crash in Scioto
County for the month of July," she
said. "Three of the four were speed related crashes and the fourth was alcohol
related. People need to slow down, especially on wet roadways."
