A warehouse at the former Marietta Shipyard burned near Point Pleasant early this morning.
Several departments were called to help bring the blaze under control, according to fire officials. The Gallipolis, Ohio, and Flat Rock, W.Va. departments were among those that helped.
The fire started at about 3 a.m., officials said. Water had to be trucked to the scene because there were no fire hydrants near the building.
Firefighters got the blaze under control by about 7:30 a.m., officials said.
There was no word about injuries or a cause of the fire.
