The Huntington Salvation Army is partnering with Value City Furniture to help a needy family get back on their feet.
John Bullock lived in men's shelters and stayed with friends when he ended up renting a house with his niece and family.
They had nearly no furniture and had to throw out a mattress infested with bedbugs.
That left them sleeping on the floor which made it difficult for John's niece who only has one leg.
On Monday, Salvation Army members will take him shopping to buy furniture for his family.
In a message from Major Riley, he says they are grateful to Value City Furniture for helping them help those in need.
