
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will work on two highway improvement projects in the coming weeks, according to a news release.
On Monday, contractors will pave U.S. Route 23 in Greenup County. The work will affect areas between state Route 410 to the Little Sandy River bridges.
The four-lane highway will be reduced to one lane each between 7 a.m.-7 p.m. This disruption will last through Friday, Aug. 3.
On Monday in Boyd County, paving will start on a section of U.S. Route 23 between downtown Ashland and the Greenup County line.
This work will happen between Winchester-Greenup Avenue split past Hoods Creek Pike to the county line. Traffic will be one lane each direction between 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Motorists using the highway during these hours should expect possible delays.
