ST. ALBANS, West Virginia -
It has been one month since the big storm that knocked out power to many of the customers in our area.
There is still a great deal of clean up to be done especially, in places where massive trees were toppled. People who were without power during the storm say they are thankful to be back in their homes and starting to get life back to normal.
They are also thankful for the lessons learned that could make the next time easier.
"Since that has happened, a lot people are getting prepared, and buying a lot of generators and things like that," said Paul Roberts, who lost power for almost a week.
The St. Albans Police Department also learned from the storm. They implemented a text alert system to better distribute information, when traditional forms of communication are not working.
