Community Hospice seeks volunteers

Community Hospice has scheduled a volunteer orientation course.

The session is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 14-16 at the McKell Branch Public Library in Southshore, Ky.

Volunteers are needed to help with in-home respite care, caregiver time out, emotional support, visitation and nursing home and care center visits.

Other duties include reading, running errands, delivery drivers, data entry, and handyman services.

Volunteers will determine when and how they can help.

All must complete the training before being certified.

Community Hospice has nearly 200 volunteers in nine counties in the Huntington area.
