Jwan D. Brown, 29, of Huntington was sentenced to 12 years and seven months for aiding and abetting the distribution of crack cocaine, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Brown had pleaded guilty in April.
U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said Brown admitted that in 2009 he distributed approximately 18 grams of crack cocaine to an individual.
The individual who purchased the drugs from Brown then sold the crack cocaine to an informant.
The investigation of the crime was conducted by the Huntington Violent Crimes and Drug Task Force.
