A night of burglary and theft ended in an arrest and charges for one Ohio man.

According to a press release, Scioto County deputies charged George Blevins, 28, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, with two felonies: second degree burglary and fifth degree theft. He was also charged with first degree theft, a misdemeanor.

Deputies responded to a burglary call Sunday night on Rolf Ave. in Wheelersburg. Another Wheelersburg resident reported a stolen car stereo.

Deputies were able to identify Blevins as a suspect and tracked him down to Portsmouth, Ohio. When deputies approached the house he was staying in, he ran out the back door. He was caught after a short chase.

Deputies were able to recover the stolen items from Sunday night, plus other stolen items. Blevins is being held on a $18,500 bond. He is slated to appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Tuesday, with charges being handed to a grand jury at a later date.
