Members of the Committee on Women's Health of the West Virginians for Affordable Health Care is hosting a picnic in support of health care benefits for women and children, according to a news release.
The "MamaCare" picnic will be held to celebrate the Affordable Care Act's series of new benefits that will take effect on August 1. The picnic is set for Monday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the Celebration Station in Charleston.
Members of the committee will be handing out information about the benefits of the Affordable Care Act for women and children. There will be free food and refreshments served.
The committee is made up of 14 non-profit organizations representing women and children in West Virginia.
