Local emergency responders and military units throughout the state will be participating in an emergency response exercise on August 1, according to a press release.

The exercise will be conducted by the 130th Airlift Wing and West Virginia Army National Guard Headquarters in Charleston. Camp Dawson in Kingwood and the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg will also conduct an emergency exercise.

The West Virginia Army National Guard wanted to let the public know that there should be no reason for concern. There may also be increased traffic in the areas of the exercise.
