The West Virginia Department of Agriculture will give away free ears of sweet corn Wednesday, according to a news release.
The event will be held on the plaza of the Capitol Complex from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Commissioner of Agriculture Gus Douglass said, "I encourage all West Virginians throughout the state to visit their local markets, eat local and be healthy."
Douglass said 'capitol Market at the Capitol' has been very successful over the past eight years.
