There's a lot of anticipation for the upcoming Marshall football and basketball seasons. Both teams are predicted to do very well. Thanks to the news today from the N-C-A-A, the Thundering Herd may have a better shot of making the postseason in both sports. The N-C-A-A's committee on infractions announced today that the Herd's conference rival, Central Florida, was slapped with N-C-A-A Violations. UCF's football team is banned from a bowl game for one year, while the Knights basketball team is also banned a year from postseason play, all because of recruiting violations. Marshall Head Coach Tom Herrion talked about the news today at practice. "I found out about it late this morning. It's very unfortunate on a lot of fronts." said Herrion, "It has really nothing to do with us, we still got to play them twice. It's just means there is one less team in the Conference USA Tournament later in the season but it has nothing to do with us. Not a whole lot of our business.
