Charleston Police arrest man in Daniel Boone Park beating

The Charleston Police have arrested a man in connection with a beating and robbery that took place at Daniel Boone Park.

Police have charged Gregory Copley, 41, with first-degree robbery.

According to the criminal complaint, Copley 'violently' attacked a man and took his credit cards and cash. The victim told police he was using the restroom at Daniel Boone Park when the attack happened.

A second man, John Maynard, also attacked the victim, according to police.

The victim suffered a broken nose, busted lip, and had several bruises on his head, police said.

Copley is in the South Central Regional Jail with bail set at $10,000.
