KY police shoot man they say threatened them with knife

The Kentucky State Police are investigating after an Elliot County Sheriff's deputy shot a man police say threatened them with a knife.

According to a news release, troopers from Post 8 in Morehead was asked to assist the Elliot County Sheriff's Department with a domestic dispute on July 31.

According to police, Jamie Roseberry, 39, of Sandy Hook, was under the influence of drugs and threatened to kill his wife. When police tried to arrest Roseberry, he showed a knife and acted aggressively to the officers.

A deputy with the Elliot Sheriff's Department shot Roseberry twice in the chest. He was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington and is listed in serious condition.
