Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
A woman in her late 20s drowned while swimming in the Little Coal River at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to emergency dispatchers in Lincoln County.
Witnesses said she went under and never came back up.
A fisherman was able to pull her body out of the river about a mile downstream. That fisherman happened to be a doctor.
He tried CPR, but it didn't work according to dispatchers.
