A man is in jail after police say he was waiving a gun in Huntington.
According to a criminal complaint, J. R. Wilson Jr. matched the description of a suspect seen waiving a gun in Northcott Court.
Wilson sat on a porch on Artisan Avenue when he was approached by police.
The complaint says he told them he had a gun in his waistband.
Police found a loaded .22-caliber semi-automatic pistol in his possession.
Wilson also has a felony drug charge in New Jersey, making it illegal for him to carry a gun.
During a search, police also found imitation drugs on him.
Wilson is charged with being a fugitive in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute an imitation substance.
He is in Western Regional Jail with a $13, 000 bond.
