Boyd County schools were supposed to hold their first day of class Friday morning, but will now have to wait until at least Monday.

School representatives say they received a boil water message from the Cannonsburg Water Department and decided to cancel classes for Friday.

Teachers and staff are asked to report for Flexible Professional Development day.

Classes may resume Monday.
