Teachers and staff at Boyd County High School were busy Thursday doing preparations for the beginning of their school year.
They had several meetings and made sure classrooms had all of the necessary materials and textbooks.
The computer and phone systems were checked to ensure they were in working order.
Teachers said they are ready to begin teaching again.
"I think we go through a period of dread but once it gets closer we get excited and this is a great place to teach," said Cari Rucker, Boyd County High School teacher.
The school has about 900 students enrolled.
