Some changes are being made to driver's licenses in Kentucky to make them more secure.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is making those changes to deter counterfeiters and reduce fraud.
Some of the differences are a digital watermark that is unable to be seen by the human eye and lamination for greater tamper resistance.
The new licenses will be rolled out in several stages.
At least eight counties in the state will have them by the end of August.
Circuit court clerk's offices will be receiving new equipment to allow the upgraded licenses to be made.

Reed said Greenup County is expected to receive the new equipment sometime this fall.
