A Lawrence County, Ohio, man was arraigned this morning on felonious assault charges involving a child.
Jerry A. Schrode, 28, was charged with caused physical harm to a juvenile, according to court records. He has been accused of throwing a young child.
Schrode is 6-feet, 5-inches inches tall and weighs 405 pounds, according to court records.
A woman who claimed to be his ex-wife said he has a history of violence and when he tried to smother her 5-week old baby she divorced him.
Kentucky State Police said that Schrode is also under investigation in the death of his 14 month old son in August 2011.
Police say an autopsy concluded that the child died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Schrode faces eight years in jail if convicted in Ohio.
