The Cabell-Huntington Health Department will host a "Back-to-School Immunization" event that will help get children up to date on their shots. It will be held on August 6 from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Health Department in Huntington.

There are new entry immunization requirements for the 2012-2013 school year for 7th and 12th grade students. Seventh graders will need one dose of the Tdap and their first dose of the Meningococcal shot. Twelfth graders will have to get a dose of the Tdap and the second dose of the Meningococcal shot.

There will be other activities for students including balloon art, face painting, Cabell County EMS ambulance tours, car seat safety, and a YMCA kid's course.

The health department will offer summer clinic hours for those who are unable to attend this event. Visit www.cabellhealth.org for more information.
