UPDATE

Late Friday, a union member told 13 News that employees will continue to work under a short-term contract.

13 News is told Special Metals has requested specific information from health insurance companies, regarding insurance.  Special Metals reportedly has not been able to get that information.

So union members will continue to work under a short contract, until information from the health insurance companies is released, and further agreements on contract negotiations are made.

There are about 650 union workers who work at the alloy plant.
