At about 7 p.m. Saturday, an Athens County man was arrested after an hour-long standoff with police at his home along state Route 78 in Glouster, police said.
The man fired several shots and threatened to kill his girlfriend, according to police.
After failed attempts to talk to the man, the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team responded, and took him into custody with out incident, deputies said.
The man is facing several charges and has been taken to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail.
