According to a news release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, paving will begin Monday in Boyd County on U.S. Route 23.
Contractors will work on Route 23 between downtown Ashland and the Greenup County line.
The work will cause the road to be down to one lane in each direction.
The paving will take place from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. beginning at the Winchester-Greenup Avenue split.
A spokesperson for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says that motorists should expect delays and be aware of workers and equipment in the work zone.
