Local kids inspired by watching Olympics

Posted: Updated:

The current Olympics may have inspired a few future local Olympians.

About 200 area children competed Monday in the Summer Camp Olympics in Ceredo.

Many of them say they have been watching and keeping up with what is going on in London.

Kids say they are fans of everything from track to basketball.

Swimming was a common answer when asked what sport they like the most and want to compete in.

"I like swimming because I have a pool at my house and like to swim. It seems like a great activity," said Brandon Lusk.

Some sports have made some fans by the kids watching them on television.

"Equestrian looks fun because you get to ride horses," said Maili Pitts.
