Charleston ready for National Night Out

Families are getting ready to a stand against crime in Charleston.

Tuesday is "National Night Out on Crime 2012."  It's a chance for neighbors to meet each other while showing criminals that crime is not tolerated in their neighborhoods, according to Charleston Police.

Charleston Police along with neighbors will meet at the following locations:
  • Hillcrest Drive Housing Development
  • Oakhurst and Lawndale Lane Development
  • South Park Development
  • Jarrett Terrace
  • Lee Terrace
  • Carroll Terrace
  • Lippert Terrace
  • Washington Manor
  • Fourth Avenue and Florida Street
  • Oakwood Terrace
  • Second Avenue Recreation Center

A safety parade is set to start at 6:30 p.m. at the Orchard Manor Complex, police said. All other meetings start at 6 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m.
