Posted: Updated:

A Huntington man pleaded guilty in federal court to the distribution of heroin, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin announced in a press release Tuesday.

Antonio Moore, 44, admitted that on several occasions he sold several grams of heroin to confidential informants working with the Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team (MDENT) in January 2012.

He admitted that he and a known business partner had participated in at least two of the transactions. All of the illegal heroin deals  took place in Charleston.

Moore faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he is sentenced in November by U.S. District Judge Thomas E. Johnston.

The Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team (MDENT) conducted the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Hanks is currently leading the prosecution.
