WV State Police release name of man killed in Lincoln County crash

The West Virginia State Police has released the name of the man involved in a crash in Lincoln County on Monday night.  

The crash happened at about 9:20 p.m. according to authorities. Trooper M. C. McMillian responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 3.

The passenger, 40-year-old Leeroy Allen Halstead, was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center by Health Net. He later died as a result of his injuries, according to a news release from the West Virginia State Police. The driver, Jason Long, did not receive any injuries.

An investigation into the crash continues.
