Fayetteville vies for Best Mountain Town award

It has already been designated as the coolest small town in America.

Now Fayetteville needs votes to make it the Best Small Mountain Town.

The Historic Fayetteville Convention and Visitors Bureau hopes to win the award through Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine.

Executive Director Sally Kiner said she wants people to recognize how wonderful the town is and encourage folks to vote.

"We just have a lot of things happening," Kiner said. "You can be an individual, you can be a couple, you can be a whole family and bring them here and find something wonderful to do in Fayetteville."
