The Rome Volunteer Fire Department in Lawrence County, Ohio, will be sending out fundraising mailers to homes and businesses in Rome Township, according to a press release. The envelope will contain a brochure and donation request card.
According to the President of the organization, Tate Tooley, the funds are needed to provide proper training, equipment, and care for the Volunteer Firefighters. The funds will also help with the cost to maintain the department.
This year, the department will celebrate 50 years of service in Rome Township. Community donations are what keeps the organization sustained.
