Winfield Veteran competes in National Veterans Wheelchair Games

Wheelchair athlete George Jackson, 69, an Army Veteran from Winfield, WV, competed in the 32nd National Veterans Wheelchair Games held in Richmond, VA. last week.

According to a press release, Jackson competed in the air guns and 10K hand cycling competitions. 

He took silver medal in hand cycling.

It was Jackson's first time at the weeklong games showcasing a number of athletic events including air guns, archery, basketball, bowling and hand cycling

The annual sports rehabilitation program is open to U.S. Veterans who use wheelchairs for sports competitions.
