Women turn out by the hundreds for the YWCA's Girls Night Out in Charleston

Women from across the region attended thee 14th annual Girls Night Out at Sunrise Mansion on Thursday evening in Charleston.

The evening featured music by the band Taylor Made; special gift bags for attendees; delicious cuisine from local restaurants, cocktails, a raffle and auction.

WOWK 13News anchor April Kaull served as a greeter at the event and WOWK-TV was proud to be a partner with the YWCA for this year's Girls Night Out.

The event raises awareness of domestic violence and provides funding for the YWCA Resolve Family Abuse Program. YWCA Resolve helps victims of domestic violence overcome the devastating impact of physical, verbal or mental abuse.

The 14th annual Girls Night Out theme for 2012 - "Time to Shine" - celebrated the YWCA Charleston's 100 years of continuous operation in providing vital social services to women and their families in Charleston and surrounding areas.
