Former MU player arrested at Huntington Rib and Music Fest

Phillip Michael Warren, a former Marshall University defensive back, was arrested the Huntington Rib and Music Fest last night.

Warren was wanted by police on charges of not showing up at court, battery on a police officer, disorderly conduct and obstruction stemming from an April incident involving an altercation at a bar in Huntington, according to court documents.

Warren was one of four Marshall football players arrested in April, after a bar fight.  Warren was then suspended from the team.

The other players, who were facing charges following that incident, were disciplined internally by Marshall athletics officials. Warren has already posted bond and is out of jail, officials said.
