Police in Charleston have released the name of this morning's stabbing victim.
Ahmari Smith, 20, of Detroit was stabbed in the left hand and the lower waistline, police said.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
Smith said he was attached from behind by several black men, police said. No other description of the suspects was released. The attack happened in the 900 block of Central Avenue.
Police are investigating.

A man has been taken to the hospital after being stabbed in the back.
Officials on the scene of the incident said a man in his 20s was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center after being stabbed in the back in the 900 block of Central Avenue in Charleston.
