Two new monuments along the Memorial Walkway of the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery (DCKMSVC) have been completed, according to a press release from the West Virginia Department of Veteran's Assistance (WVDVA).
The Memorial Walkway, located in Institute, is a trail throughout the cemetery grounds that features statues, lights and fountains in honor of veterans. The Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Purple Heart memorials were just recently completed. The two remaining monuments of the Walkway are the Prisoners of War and Missing in Action memorials.
The Gold Star Families and the America's Young Warriors memorials are expected to be installed in the near future to complete the Memorial Walkway. The overall completion date has not yet been determined.
