Powerboat racing teams are busy getting ready for this weekend's races in Huntington.
A local Lesage man is not only one of the oldest drivers, but he's also a rookie.
Saturday's race will be Roger LeGrand's second race of his rookie year, and he says he's ready to get behind the wheel.
Some of the boats can reach speeds over a hundred miles per hour and barley even touch the water.
Roger says he has a good outlook on the race and that safety is the most important thing.
The boat races are part of the 17th Annual Huntington Rib and Music Festival.
