A Utah man was sentenced two years and three months in federal prison on charges connected to a multimillion-dollar mortgage fraud scheme, according to a press release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.
The scheme involved properties at a Hurricane subdivision.
Michael S. Hurd, 37, previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud in 2011, Goodwin said.
Goodwin said Hurd has been involved in this same type of case in other states.
